FAQ 1
How do I download?
ANSWER - Most items now are listed as a DOWNLOADABLE ITEM - meaning that before you buy, you will have to register (if you are not already registered) - and after you have paid you will receive an email to take you back to the website 'Customer Log In' page. Once you have logged in, you will see a list with "DOWNLOADABLE ITEMS" - click on and the download/s you ordered will appear. You can download your item/s instantly - click on 'Download' at the right hand side. I have set it to allow you to download 5 times (so if you make a mistake you can download again) and over a period of 60 days - that should give everybody plenty of time to make sure that they have downloaded AND SAVED the files correctly. NB Don't worry! You WILL get your cards! If you have a problem we will get it sorted out! If you prefer, I can always send the download/s by email.
When you receive the file/s ........ instead of simply opening the file, choose ‘save’ and choose WHERE to save it to on your computer (otherwise you will not be able to find it again!). I would suggest that you ‘create a new folder’ - perhaps on your desktop - call it ‘SAM Cards Downloads’ and you can start collecting all your downloads in the same place! The INSTANT DOWNLOADS are one combined file - the separate files (including the instruction file) are listed down the left hand side of the page - so you can click between the files easily.
PLEASE ADD MY EMAIL ADDRESS TO YOUR FAVOURITES/ADDRESS BOOK to ensure that any email from me is not rejected or diverted to your JUNK/BULK folder.
FAQ 2
I cannot LOG IN to the website - or cannot order.
ANSWER You have always been able to order without actually registering as a customer - but now, if you are ordering an Instant Download, you HAVE to be registered. PLEASE REMEMBER YOUR PASSWORD! Once you are registered, if you have forgotten your password and cannot log in, Click on 'Forgotten your password?' and a password will be emailed again to your email address. It will be a random collection of numbers/letters (not your password) - use it to get into your account, and once in, you can choose "Change your password" to something you will remember. If you don't receive the reminder please check in your Spam/Bulk folder because your Spam filter may have diverted it there. NB Remember that if you change your email address you should change your details on the website - if you try to log in using another email address you will not get it - and you will not receive the password reminder either. If all else fails, you can try to register again - but if you can't please email me and tell me the problem. I can always delete you from my registered customer list and you can register again.
NB When you register please fill in the POSTCODE line - even if you are outside the UK and don't have one! (You can just fill in any 4 numbers and the system will be happy!)
And ...... You will not be able to order from the USA and pay by Paypal without the state and zipcode line being completed.
If you cannot complete your order please email me and I will sort it out for you.
FAQ 3
How do I open the PDF files?
ANSWER You need Adobe READER (which is FREE) to open the PDF files. You will probably have it already - but if not, this link will let you download version 9 http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readermain.html
However ...... you cannot download Adobe READER Version 8 from that site ..... but this link will let you have Version 8 and this is what I would advise you to do

FAQ 4
How do I type onto a PDF page?
ANSWER With the newer downloads, there is the facility to type directly onto the pdf page - but you must have at least ADOBE READER 8. (If a download has this facility it will be in the item description and when you get it the file will say 'enabled') If you click around on the page where you think the text box will be (eg on a blank insert page or greetings plaque) you will see the text box - then click inside the text box to see the cursor. You will now be able to type what you want in the font/colour/size I have set up for you. You can move the text box about to suit you.
NB - in ADOBE READER VERSION 8 ..... If you want use the 'type on' facility and want to change the font/size/colour, when you have the cursor in the text box, go to the top toolbar and choose 'VIEW', then 'TOOLBARS' from the list, then 'Properties Bar' - this will give you the 'Properties Bar' for the text box which I have set up and you can then change what you want in the text.
HOWEVER ...... in ADOBE READER VERSION 9 ..... you cannot change the font/colour/size as easily! If you don't want to use the font I have set up in the text boxes for you, you need to open the file you want to type on. To do this, look for the file on the left hand side list and 'right click' on it, choosing 'open file'. This opens the file you want in a separate window and then it behaves like Adobe Reader 8 and you can follow the rules above to get the 'Properties Box'.
The alternative is that you can use your Word Processing programme to type your message in the style you want and then copy and paste it into the text box on the PDF page.
FAQ 5
How do I resize something?
ANSWER ...... in ADOBE READER VERSION 8 If you go to 'Edit' on the top toolbar while you have the Adobe PDF file open at the page you want, and click on 'Copy File to Clipboard' you will copy the page you are on - then if you have your graphics programme open, choose 'Paste' and the whole page will be pasted - then you can resize etc. If you want to resize a card and the decoupage to fit it, after you have pasted them both into your graphics programme, group them together and resize them at the same time. If instead, you click on a single item on the PDF (eg a decoupage image), choose 'Edit', 'Copy' you will copy that image only and 'Paste' it into the programme you want to work in.
But .... in ADOBE READER VERSION 9 you have to go to the top toolbar, choose 'TOOLS', then 'SELECT AND ZOOM' then 'SNAPSHOT TOOL' - and you will see a message telling you that 'the selected area has been copied' - (you do not need to know where) - then if you have a graphics programme open (I use MS Publisher) choose Paste and the whole page will be pasted - then you can resize etc. If you want to resize a card and the decoupage to fit it, after you have pasted them both into your graphics programme, group them together and resize them at the same time. If instead, you RIGHT click on a single item on the PDF (eg a decoupage image) - it will say 'Copy image' - and you will copy that image only and 'Paste' it into the programme you want to work in.
FAQ 6 'STACKERS' - an alternative to decoupage and teabags! These are either 4 or 5 layers of topper in various fancy shapes - stars/flowers etc - which you cut out and 'stack' up. They are the same image repeated but get smaller with each layer. After you put your double sided foam on, experiment with how you are going to arrange them - you can attach them all the same way round - or rotate a few degrees to 'offset' the corners thus making the image behind more visible (as in the Angel one below). These are the only things I print on onto GLOSSY photo paper - it makes them stand out more. They are simple shapes to cut out - you can use a slightly heavier weight of paper for more body since they are not intricate to cut out.
